Areas around West Dublin and East Kildare will be served by new routes from Maynooth, Leixlip, Celbridge, Lucan, Adamstown, Liffey Valley and Palmerstown towards the City centre. Ringsend and Sandymount.
The other routes that are part of the new BusConnects network will be rolling out on a phased basis over the next several years. The next phase includes the N4 & N6 orbitals in 2022.
On the 28th November, the TFI 90 Minute Fare will be introduced. This alongside the short fare will streamline TFI Leap Card fares in the Dublin Area. For more information visit leapcard.ie.
Some bus stops have moved. C-Spine routes will not serve Westmoreland Street or Pearse St stops, and will instead serve Aston Quay and Tara Street. Please check the TFI Journey Planner to plan your route.
Spines are very frequent routes made up of individual bus services. In Phase 2 the Spines are C1, C2, C3 & C4.
Other city bound services operate into Dublin City centre. These services are not part of any Spine and operate to their own timetable.
Local routes are services which provide important connections within local areas, linking to local retail centres and to onward transport connections. In Phase 2, local routes are L51, L52, L53, L54, L58 and L59.
All C-Spine routes (C1, C2, C3 and C4) operate into the city centre. The new local routes will provide connections from the C-Spine to local areas.
The C1, C2, have a daytime frequency of 20-30 minutes and the C3 and C4 have a 30 minute frequency. The combined daytime frequency along the spine is every 8 minutes.
See C-Spine frequency table for all phase 2 route frequencies.
While the C-Spine will operate along the Chapelizod bypass, route 26 will have an enhanced frequency to ensure capacity for Chapelizod. This will serve Chapelizod every 15 minutes throughout the day with a 10 minute service at peak times. The new C5 and C6 night-time service will also serve the area. For more information see Chapelizod flyer.

While the 66a and 66x have been discontinued, you still have a number of options for trips towards the city centre.
To return from the city centre to River Forest, the options are very similar:
To get to the city centre, passengers from Dodsboro can get the L51 or L52 towards Lucan Village and then change for the C3 or C4 to city centre. There will also be an X30 peak only service to UCD via the city centre.
Customers can get the Route 1 to Parnell Square East or O’Connell St Lower and then get the new C1 or C2 bus routes to Sandymount from Bachelors Walk (Stop 315)
Or
Take any bus to D’Olier Street or College Green and walk across to Townsend Street for routes C1 and C2.
Customers who used to get the bus from Merrion Square to travel West towards Lucan, Leixlip and Maynooth should now use Pearse Street (Pearse Station) (Stop 399) to get the new C spine routes.
