24-hour services
24-hour services will be in operation seven days a week across twelve routes.

Sunday 16th March

  • A Sunday service will operate on DART and Commuter routes.
  • A revised timetable will operate on Intercity routes – check times before travel.

St Patrick’s Day, Bank Holiday Monday 17th March

  • DART and Commuter: A Sunday service will operate, with extra DART and Commuter services (from Howth, Malahide, Bray, Greystones, Kildare, Maynooth, Longford Drogheda and Dundalk) operating before and after the St Patrick’s Day parade. Customers are advised to check times, and allow sufficient time to travel to the Parade, which begins at 12 PM, with high demand expected.
  • Customers are advised that Tara Street Station will be closed until 16 PM, to facilitate Garda crowd management arrangements for the Parade. Please use Connolly or Pearse Stations during this time.
  • An extra 9:25 AM Connolly to Howth DART will also operate to facilitate those travelling to the start of the Aware Harbour2Harbour Walk.
  • Late night trains: The following trains will operate after midnight on DART and Commuter routes, serving all stations unless otherwise stated (as these trains will depart after midnight, please note these will appear as 18th March on Journey planner and app):
    • 12:20 AM Pearse to Maynooth
    • 12:30 AM Pearse to Howth
    • 12:35 AM Connolly to Greystones
    • 12:40 AM Pearse to Dundalk (serving Tara St, Connolly, Howth Junction and then all stations to Dundalk)
    • 12:50 AM Pearse to Kildare (serving Tara St, Connolly, Drumcondra, and all stations ParkWest to Kildare)
  • Intercity routes: A revised timetable is in operation. Please check irishrail.ie or the Iarnród Éireann app for times.
  • Cork Commuter: A Sunday service will operate.

The below changes are in place to facilitate the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin City on the 17th of March.

There will be no Red Line trams running between Smithfield and Connolly from 10 AM to 3 PM. Red Line trams will run between Tallaght/Saggart and Smithfield only during these times.

There will be no Green Line trams running between St. Stephen’s Green and Dominick from 7 AM to 6 PM. Trams will run between Broombridge and Dominick, and between St. Stephen’s Green and Brides Glen only during these times.

Several Go-Ahead Ireland routes will be diverted on Monday 17th March. Please see the details on the Go-Ahead Ireland website.

Bus Éireann will operate their services to Sunday timetables on the 17th of March. They will also have a number of route diversions in place.
