RUNNING ALL WEEK |
BIKE WEEK PHOTO COMPETITION
As part of #BikeWeek2024 we are running a competition for the best cycling photo! The only requirement is that it must be taken during Bike Week 2024, which runs from Saturday, May 11th, to Sunday, May 19th. Your ride can be a family cycle, Cycle to School Day, Cycle to Work, leisure cycle, or a scenic cycle – the possibilities are endless! You can submit your entries via email to info@rosactive.org or by sending them to our social media pages. Bonus points will be awarded for photos taken during one of our events. There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs! All entries will be posted on our social media pages. Closing date Monday 20th May @ 5pm |

VINTAGE BIKE DISPLAY
Bike Week will roll off on Saturday 11th May with a Vintage Bicycle Display at The Square in Roscommon Town from 11am-3pm. There will be a number of old bicycles on display and RSP are encouraging those who may have old/vintage bicycles to bring them along to join the display and celebrate the evolution of bicycles and cycling and its importance to Irish society. ADULT CYCLE SAFETY WORKSHOP BOYLE
Whether you are a beginner, have recently returned to cycling, you wish to cycle to school or work, or already cycle regularly, this workshop will help you develop essential skills to make you a confident cyclist. Participants will learn essential safety and competency skills e.g bike handling, correct use of helmets, bike safety checks and how to navigate in various road environments. OFF ROAD CYCLING SKILLS WORKSHOP
An off-road cycling skills workshop for primary school students focuses on basic techniques like balance, braking, and navigating obstacles. Led by experienced instructors, it aims to build confidence and competence in off-road cycling. The workshop also emphasises bike safety and trail etiquette, providing a fun and educational experience tailored to young cyclists. DISABILITY CYCLING WORKSHOP
This workshop will be based on one-to-one tuition with one of our experienced cycling tutors. Each participant will have approximately 30 minutes of guidance. Participants can use their own Bike and Helmet for the programme (the bike must be safe and in good condition). Bikes and Helmets will be available on request for anyone who needs them.
