Entry Point

There are 5 coloured coded routes to access the stadium. The route you must take is dictated by the location of your seat within the stadium.

The applicable route colour will be stated on your event ticket.

On event days stewards will be positioned outside the stadium to provide further assistance.

  • ORANGE ROUTE – LANSDOWNE LANE ENTRANCE (OFF SHELBOURNE ROAD)
    Public transport options:
    BY DART
    From City Centre take any southbound Dart to Grand Canal Dock Station. Exit the station and turn right onto Barrow Street. Continue through the next junction onto Shelbourne Road.

    NOTE: After the concert, Grand Canal Dock station will be closed; Dublin Pearce station will be open

  • RED ROUTE – BATH AVENUE ENTRANCE

    From City Centre take any southbound Dart to Grand Canal Dock Station. Exit the station and turn right onto Barrow Street. At the end of Barrow Street take a left onto Grand Canal Street and then your next left onto Bath Avenue.

Transport Options – Getting to and from Aviva Stadium

The Leap Visitor Card is a convenient public transport ticket for tourists and visitors to Dublin.  Get unlimited travel for your selected time period on Dublin City Bus services (operated by Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland), Luas, DART and Commuter Rail.

You can choose from a number of options:

  • 1 day (24 hours) – €8.00
  • 3 days (72 hours) – €16.00
  • 7 days (168 hours) – €32.00

Your chosen time period starts from the first time you use the card.

Please note that unused Leap Visitor Cards expire 12 months from the day it’s purchased.

Leap Visitor is not valid on the Hop on/Hop off tour or other special tour services and cannot be used on Bus Éireann services.

Travelling with your Leap Visitor Card

Your Leap Visitor Card allows you unlimited travel after first use for the period you have selected on the following transport services in Dublin:

 

All Dublin Bus scheduled services (not valid on tours)
  • Go-Ahead Ireland Dublin City services
  • All Luas (tram) services
  • DART and Commuter Rail in the Short Hop Zone (all of Dublin city and county)

Please note the Leap Visitor Card is not valid on Bus Éireann services.

 

Simply touch your card against a Validator. You will hear a tone to verify you have validated properly:

  • On Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland, touch the card against the Leap Card Validator on the right-hand side as you enter the bus.
  • On Luas (tram), Touch On at a Validator on the platform before you get on the tram and Touch Off when you get off the tram.
  • On DART and Commuter Rail, Touch On at the platform entry gate or Validator before your journey and Touch Off at the platform exit gate or Validator after your journey. The card can be used between stations within the Short Hop Zone.

Charlemont (Green Line) is the closest Luas stop and a 25-minute walk from the stadium.

If you are travelling from Heuston station, take the Red Line to Connolly and change to the DART line there.

  • DART (rail) offers a service to and from Lansdowne Road Station which is immediately adjacent to the Aviva Stadium. The DART operates from the Dublin city centre stations of Connolly, Tara Street and Pearse Street.
  • DART runs along the coast of Dublin from Malahide or Howth (North Dublin), via Dublin city centre as far south as Greystones, Co. Wicklow.
  • In order for a seamless travel journey please purchase a Leap Card or return ticket to avoid delays.
  • Connolly Train Station, Tara St and Pearse Street Stations in Dublin City Centre will bring you southbound to Landsdowne Road DART Station.

Aviva Stadium days and events:
There is no bike parking or car parking available at Aviva Stadium on match day/ concerts for security reasons.

From Nassau Street at Trinity College (city centre), travel along Merrion Square and Lower Mount Street. Cross the canal and continue along Northumberland Road to the second set of lights. Turn left onto Lansdowne Road. Continue through the next junction. Aviva Stadium is on your left.

There is a car park located just past entrance A on the right hand side also. The car park has an hourly and daily max charge and is open 24 hours per day. This car park is not available on match days as the surrounding roads are closed.

You can take a taxi to the Aviva Stadium.

If you are travelling from the city centre it can take anywhere between 9 and 16 minutes, depending on traffic.

Taxi Apps: Free Now is the default Irish taxi transportation app, you can download in the app store for free. Rideshare apps like Uber also connect users to licensed taxi drivers and not independent rideshare drivers.

 

Walking:

The main mode of transport to and from the stadium should be walking. The Aviva Stadium is a 25 minute walk from Dublin City Centre. We encourage you to walk to and from the Aviva Stadium on game day.
