Easter 2024 Travel Arrangements
We wish to advise customers that Bus Éireann services will operate as follows over the Easter period:
We wish to advise Dublin Bus customers of the following Easter service arrangements:
Term Time departures will not operate from Monday 25 March until Friday 5 April 2024,
from first bus until 1500hrs.
City Tours:
Red Line Temporary Partial Closure – Heuston to Blackhorse
Rail Replacement works will occur near Heuston Luas Stop over three days during the Easter weekend from Saturday 30 March to Bank Holiday Monday 1 April.
There will be no Red Line trams running between Heuston and Blackhorse Luas Stops from Saturday 30 March to last tram Bank Holiday Monday 1 April. On these dates, trams will run between Tallaght / Saggart and Blackhorse, and between Heuston and The Point only.
A replacement bus service will run between Heuston and Blackhorse approximately every 15 minutes on Saturday 30 March to Bank Holiday Monday 1 April with some restrictions, see below for information. Please allow extra time for travel.
A valid Luas ticket, TFI Leap Card, or Public Services Card with Free Travel is required to use the replacement bus service.
Customers travelling Eastbound between Heuston and Blackhorse:
Due to limited bus set down areas, the Eastbound replacement bus service will serve Blackhorse and Heuston Luas Stops only.
Customers travelling from Drimnagh Eastbound towards the City should either walk to Blackhorse Luas Stop (a 7-minute walk away) or take the Westbound replacement bus back to Blackhorse, which will turn and bring you to Heuston Luas Stop.
Customers travelling from Goldenbridge Luas Stop Eastbound towards the City can go to Suir Road Luas Stop (a 5-minute walk away) and take the Westbound replacement bus to Blackhorse, which will turn and bring you to Heuston Luas Stop.
From Rialto Luas Stop, customers can go to Suir Road Luas Stop (an 8-minute walk away) and take the Westbound replacement bus to Blackhorse, which will turn and bring you to Heuston Luas Stop.
From Fatima Luas Stop, Heuston Luas Stop is approximately 17 minutes walk away. Alternatively, take the Westbound replacement bus to Blackhorse, which will turn and bring you to Heuston Luas Stop.
Customers travelling Westbound between Heuston and Blackhorse:
The Westbound replacement bus service will serve Heuston, James’s, Suir Road, Drimnagh, and Blackhorse.
From Rialto Luas Stop, customers should go to Suir Road Luas Stop (an 8-minute walk away) to take the replacement bus.
From Fatima Luas Stop, customers should go to James’s Luas Stop (a 12-minute walk away) to take the replacement bus.
From Goldenbridge Luas Stop, customers should go to Suir Road Luas Stop (a 5-minute walk away) to take the replacement bus.
Luas Green Line services are not affected by these works.
Luas Red Line services will run as normal from first tram on Tuesday 2 April.
Easter Weekend Service Information
There will be changes to Operating Hours and Frequency on Good Friday 29 March, Easter Sunday 31 March, and Bank Holiday Monday 1 April.
Also, Luas Green Line Stops between Dominick and St. Stephen’s Green will be closed from first tram until approx. 16:00 on Easter Sunday, 31 March to facilitate the Easter Commemoration Parade.

There will be no Red Line trams running between Heuston and Blackhorse Luas Stops from Saturday 30 March to last tram Bank Holiday Monday 1 April. On these dates, trams will run between Tallaght / Saggart and Blackhorse, and between Heuston and The Point only.
Luas will run normal Saturday Operating Hours and Frequency on the Red and Green Lines.
Easter Sunday 31 March
Green Line Service Info:
• Trams will run Sunday Operating Hours (see below table for first and last tram times)
• Trams will not run between St. Stephen’s Green and Dominick from first tram until 16:00.
• During the closure period, Green Line services will run between Broombridge and Dominick, as well as from St. Stephen’s Green to Sandyford / Brides Glen only, starting from the first tram until approximately 16:00.
• The full Green Line will reopen at approximately 16:00.
Red Line Service Info:
There will be no Red Line trams running between Heuston and Blackhorse Luas Stops from Saturday 30 March to last tram Bank Holiday Monday 1 April. On these dates, trams will run between Tallaght / Saggart and Blackhorse, and between Heuston and The Point only.

• There may be some delays to facilitate the Easter Sunday Commemoration Parade, subject to Gardaí instruction. Please check Travel Updates for Real Time Passenger Information and allow plenty of time for travel.
Bank Holiday Monday 1 April
There will be no Red Line trams running between Heuston and Blackhorse Luas Stops from Saturday 30 March to last tram Bank Holiday Monday 1 April. On these dates, trams will run between Tallaght / Saggart and Blackhorse, and between Heuston and The Point only.
Luas will run Sunday Operating Hours, with services beginning at 07:00 on both the Red and Green Lines. See tables above for the first and last tram times on both days.
Luas Red and Green Line services will run normal Operating Hours and Frequency from Tuesday 2 April.
