Cork City Council as part of their City Centre Pavement Restoration Scheme will implement road closures in the city centre at St Patrick St (Northbound) & Grand Parade during the summer months.

Details of the diversion routes and closed/replacement stops are shown on the following individual route maps.

The diversions are scheduled to be in place from August 12th to September 20th.

The diversions will result in route diversions and stop closures along the following routes.

  • Route 203, 207, 215:
    Northbound services will operate as normal to George’s Quay and will subsequently divert via the South Quays and Washington Street. Services will then operate as normal from Daunt Square. For the duration of the roadworks the Grand Parade stop will be closed. Southbound services will be unaffected.

  • Route 203:
    Services from Manor Farm to Parklands will operate as normal to George’s Quay, then go via Sullivan’s Quay, French’s Quay, Proby’s Quay, Sharman Crawford Street, Wandesford Quay, Washington Street, Daunt Square and as normal thereafter. Services from Parklands to Manor Farm will be unaffected.
  • Route 207:
    Services from Donnybrook to Glenheights will operate as normal to George’s Quay, then will go via Sullivan’s Quay, French’s Quay, Proby’s Quay, Sharman Crawford Street, Wandesford Quay, Washington Street, Daunt Square and as normal thereafter. For the duration of the roadworks, the Grand Parade stop will close. Services from Glenheights to Donnybrook will be unaffected.
  • Route 215:
    Services from Jacobs Island to Cloghroe will operate as normal to George’s Quay, then will go via Sullivan’s Quay, French’s Quay, Proby’s Quay, Sharman Crawford Street, Wandesford Quay, Washington Street, Daunt Square and as normal thereafter. For the duration of the roadworks, the Grand Parade stop will close. Services from Cloghroe to Jacob’s Island will be unaffected.

 

  • Route 216:
    Services from Monkstown to CUH will operate as normal to George’s Quay and then they will go via Sullivan’s Quay, French’s Quay, Proby’s Quay and will operate as normal thereafter. For the duration of the roadworks, the Grand Parade stop will close and South Main Street will not be served by Route 216. An alternative stop will be operational at Sullivan’s Quay. Services from CUH to Monkstown will be unaffected.

  • Routes 220, 220x, 226x:
    Route 220/220x westbound services will operate as normal to George’s Quay. For the duration of the roadworks, the Grand Parade stop will be closed, with an alternative stop operational at Sullivan’s Quay. Eastbound services will be unaffected. On route 226x, the 07:30 a.m. College service from Kinsale to MTU will operate as normal to George’s Quay.
    For the duration of the roadworks, the stop at Grand Parade will be closed, with an alternative stop operational at Sullivan’s Quay.

  • Route 220/220x:
    Services from Camden, Crosshaven and Carrigaline to Ovens will operate as normal to George’s Quay, then they will go via Sullivan’s Quay, French’s Quay, Proby’s Quay, Sharman Crawford Street, Wandesford Quay, Washington Street and as normal thereafter. Services from Ovens to Carrigaline, Crosshaven and Camden will be unaffected.
  • Route 226x:
    The 07:30 a.m. College service from Kinsale to MTU will operate as normal to George’s Quay, then will go via Sullivan’s Quay, French’s Quay, Proby’s Quay, Sharman Crawford Street, Wandesford Quay, Washington Street and as normal thereafter.
