Irish Rail operates a train service from Dublin.

The train station is located at Redmond Square and is approximately a 10 minute walk to The National Opera House.

Wexford town is easily accessed from the N25 and the N11.  Thanks to digital technology you can easily find the National Opera House by inputting our Eircode, Y35 FEP3.

From Dublin Airport
Wexford town is a two-hour drive from Dublin Airport. If you are travelling by car from Dublin, you can avoid Dublin city centre by two routes:

  • Route 1: Follow the M50 Southbound and join the M11/N11 route heading towards Wexford/Rosslare. (Toll on route)
  • Route 2: Follow the signs for the City Centre and take the route for the Port Tunnel, follow signs for the East Link Bridge and the M11/N11 route. (Toll on route)

Continue on the M11 and at the Gorey bypass you can choose to stay on the M11 and travel through Oylegate to Wexford via Ferrycarrig Bridge or you can take Exit 23 to R741 and follow the signs for Ballycanew and this route will bring you into Wexford Town via Wexford Bridge.
From Rosslare Europort and Ferry Terminal

Wexford town is a fifteen-minute drive from the Rosslare Europort at Rosslare Harbour and is well signposted.
Please note:
 Many streets in Wexford town centre operate a one-way traffic-flow system.

PARKING

Wexford Town Centre is small and can easily be walked from end to end in 15-20 min,  offering a variety of parking options close to the National Opera House.
There is limited ‘Pay-and-Display’ parking in the adjacent High Street Car Park.
Other great options include the nearby Rowe Street Church Carpark (2 min walk), Stonebridge Carpark (5 min walk) or the underground Carpark in Clayton Whites Hotel (5 min walk).  All these options allow you to pay upon exiting.
Wexford town also has plenty of on-street ‘Pay-and-Display’ parking.  Check on-street signs in the area for specific parking terms and conditions. 
Please note
 there is limited car access to High Street except for set down outside the National Opera House.
