Dublin Pride Parade – O’Connell Street to Merrion Square @ O’Connell Street Dublin

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail:

Irish Rail will operate a late-night service from Dublin to Cork with a link from Limerick Junction to Limerick. This service will depart Heuston Station at 00:40 on the 30th of June.

Irish Rail will also have crowd control measures in place in Dublin City Centre stations to ensure capacity is maximised on DART and Commuter trains.

LUAS:

Please note the following change to Luas Green and Red Line tram services on Sat 29^th Jun to accommodate the Dublin Pride Parade taking place in the city centre:

Green Line– no service between St. Stephen’s Green and Dominick from 9:40 AM to 5 PM Trams will only run between Brides Glen and St. Stephen’s Green, and between Broombridge and Dominick.

Red Line– no service between Smithfield and Connolly/The Point from approximately 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Trams will only run between Tallaght/Saggart and Smithfield.

• Southbound: Normal route to Parnell Square then divert to Parnell Street, Cumberland Street, Cathal Brugha Street, Marlborough Street, Rosie Hackett Bridge, Burgh Quay to D’Olier Street and normal route.

Note: Customers travelling to/from Dublin on 29 June 2024: due to the Dublin Pride Parade taking place, road closures will be in place throughout the day affecting the following services:

Parking restrictions

 

Dublin Pride wants to be as accessible and inclusive an event as possible.

There are a number of initiatives in place to support this which will be detialed closer to the event at Dublin LGBTQ Pride  (dublinpride.ie)

Accessibility Buses

The festival organisers in 2023  had a number of buses and vehicles in the Parade for those who liked to take part in the Parade but  needed some support. Further detials will be available at the DublinPride website, closer to the event date.

Dublin City Council advises that Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
