We will host our event at Carndonagh Community School. They have 400 meter track, where young participants can cycle in safety off the main road. There will also be an bike obstacle course which will be managed and facilitated by our local cycling expert.

Come along for a free, family-friendly cycle parade with music, costumes and 4 pick-up points are Bangor Circle, Mount Argus Park, Harold’s Cross Park and Parnell Road (Fire station) for final Kiddie Kilometre ending at Eamonn Ceannt Park. Gorey Bike Fest & Family Slow Roll Cycle is a family friendly event focused on all things cycling. There's something for all ages, from balance bikes to eBike demos. “Slow Roll,” a fun all-ages cycle from the park to the town centre and back again. We are planning a vibrant and inclusive Community Bike Day designed to bring people of all ages together on two wheels! The event kicks off with an in-depth workshop on bike maintenance and repair, led by local cycling experts who will guide participants through essential skills such as fixing a flat, adjusting brakes, and tuning gears. After getting hands-on and confident with their bikes, everyone is invited to take part in a leisurely community ride through scenic local routes. As a special highlight, we’re excited to include the use of a specially designed accessible bike, enabling elderly community members and residents from the nearby residential home to join in the fun and reconnect with their community. This heartwarming addition ensures that the joy of cycling is shared by all, making the day not only active and educational, but also deeply meaningful.
The Green School Committee will present a PowerPoint on bike safety. In addition, the committee will track the number of children cycling or scooting to school each day, with the class that logs the most participants winning a special cycling trophy. "Design a Helmet" competition - Three winners will be chosen, one from the junior classes, one from the middle classes and one from the senior classes.
