Circumnavigation Cycle of Cork City

Participants will be guided on a loop around Cork City, using a mix of urban cycle lanes and quieter suburban roads. The event is designed to introduce riders to lesser-known areas of the city and its outskirts, revealing new recreational spaces along the way. The route begins at St Patrick's Quay, follows cycle paths along the North Quays as far as the North Mall, then continues along Suil na mBan and the Mardyke Path to Lee Fields. Next, the tour follows the Curragheen River Greenway to Umvar Drive before proceeding along Model Farm Road, passing Dennehys Cross to reach the Lough and then crossing to Tramore Valley Park. Finally, the route continues along Douglas Skehard Road and the Old Blackrock Railway, following the greenway back into the city. Support, including route maps and rest stops, will be available throughout the journey. This event is designed for stronger cyclists keen to explore a variety of cycle routes across Cork City.

Bike Week is funded by the Department of Transport, coordinated by TFI and brought to you by the Local Authorities and Sport Partnerships.
